BARE BEAUTY

She stood in front of the mirror to see -
What had happened to her youth and beauty -
She felt so tired and she felt so old -
It seemed so long since she had been told -

"How her eyes glowed alive with love and life-
How strong she was to handle the strife.
How soft she was when she loved those dear -
How missed she was when she wasn't near."
~ ~ ~
It felt like a whole eternal life time ago -
What was her purpose now.. she didn't know.
She felt the tears rushing down her face -
She coddled herself in her own embrace.
~ ~ ~
She sat herself down upon the cold floor
And sobbed hot tears - til there were no more -
Then looked up and was surprised to see -
A woman who glowed in light that was Heavenly.

Feeling embarrassed and caught in a naked state -
She started to run... and the woman said "Wait!"
"My child - I have a message from God above -
He sent me here to remind you of human love."

"He wants you seek the beauty you have inside -
Bring out all those treasures... they're not to hide.
Unwrap the laughter - share the joy - be of love -
Pass the faith - hope from God's pure white dove.

"He wants you to look into the mirror and see -
Yes, the woman you were, that you used to be.
He wants you to see the woman you are today-
Yes, you have become more beautiful along the way."
